The Hike
Take the Park Shuttle to the 9th Stop, also known as The Temple of Sinawava. The hike begins at the shuttle stop and continues along the right side of the Virgin River. The paved path offers views of the river and the steep canyon walls. The path leads all the way to the beginning of the Narrows Hike. Here you can decide to continue on or turn back down the scenic path the the shuttle stop. If planning on hiking The Narrows, bring a sturdy walking stick, waterproof pants, shoes, a jacket and and extra pair of socks. Unfortunately, I was not prepared and did not complete The Narrows hike, which is up to 9.4 miles long. At least I have a reason to go back, not that the landscape was enough already!
